News: Robin Hood…again

It has been announced Matthew Macfadyen will join the cast of Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood as the Sheriff of Nottingham. After some rumours that Crowe would play both Robin and the Sheriff they seem to have decided on a more traditional approach. We can´t help being curious about this all star cast and what will they do with the old legend.

In other Robin Hood news – the BBC series this time – it has been mentioned on the press that a replacement was chosen to play Robin Hood in a fourth series. Jonas Armstrong announced a while back he was leaving after season three. We don’t have confirmation that a fourth series has been recomissioned and in fact, Keith Allen has also recently revealed he will be leaving too at the end of the current series, so we’re curious to see what is really going to happen.

Matthew Macfadyen…..Doesn’t it seem like the Sheriff should be ugly? Even when he’s a total jerk (The Way We Live Now), he’s still kind of loveable. It just seems an odd placement. Ah, I should stop whining – it’s probably going to be stellar.

LOL I’ve only seen him in P&P and Spooks so I’m not the best judge. He might surprise you!

I can’t see him as a bad guy, it must involve lots of Dark facial hair and maybe some artificial scars… I don’t know. After seeing him so sweet and adorable in Little Dorrit I can’t imagine him as a baddie. He was a little crazy in Middletown, and a little angsty in My Father’s Den, but still so cute!

The Robin Hood series thing is strange. No Marian, Robin’s leaving, the sherriff is leaving – surely it’s time to call it quits for now? I guess we will hear eventually.

Esta é uma adaptação que e anseio com alguma espectativa. A ver se ‘limpam’, de vez, da minha mente, a imagem dum Robin amaricado com que fiquei desde os tempos do Errol Flynn.
ok, concordo que a parte final do 1º Shrek também não ajudou. lol
