The summer is almost gone, fall is coming with a new set of Tv series to entertain us! After announcing Cranford will be back with a special episode (and we would love to know more about it) it has been announced that Lark Rise to Candleford will also have a special episode to be broadcasted during the Christmas Season. It will be followed by its second season starting January 2009. The series is currently being filmed and the expectations are high after the first season’s success, this series relies on the introduction of new characters to tell Flora Thompson’s stories and so joining the cast are Jason Merrills and Ruby Bentall. Last year we made a special Christmas post mentioning our favourite movies and now we’re wondering if these special episodes will also become part of our favourites for the Holiday Season. And if any other series will have special episodes for Christmas. We like that idea! A lot!

Marg I loved Cranford too! And I started watching Lark Rise today and so far I’m enjoying it very much.
I loved Lark Rise to Candleford and Dorcas Lane (Julia Sawalha) is my favorite character. Her strenght and kindness are truly remarkable!
Crandford is a great series, I’m so glad BBC decided to make a special episode for Christmas.
