Tolstoy was divided between his beliefs and the life he had led. Filming has started in Germany and other settings include famous historical places in Russia. We’re looking forward to it if nothing else because Russia has beautiful places to film in and the actors involved all promise an interesting project.

Still in production it’s the story of an ornithologist and a political activist who meet in South Africa and fall in love. In the background is the Boers’s War and a plot to stop it. Let’s hope the filming starts soon.

And still in pre-production is the new version of Dicken’s David Copperfield Several famous names have been announced like Colin Firth (a bit busy it seems), Rowan Atkinson and Julie Walters and Dominic Cooper so we’re hoping it will go ahead soon… and since we’re mentioning Dickens it should be said that it seems filming has started for the new version of A Christmas Carol. We sure hope so!
