I wanted to comment a couple of days before but time flies!
Mr. Guppy is one of those chracters that I don’t know if I should hug or trottle. The man’s manneirisms can be sometimes very irritating and his atittude later on when he sees Esther after her illness show us more of his true nature.
I spent these last episodes waiting for Woodcourt to return. He seems so perfect for Esther! And they seem to have the same opinion.

I almost panicked when Jarndyce confessed his feelings to Esther. I didn’t want her to marry him, they didn’t seemed suited at all. I perfectly understand a woman had to think about her future and an offer from a gentleman of his station was seen as a great opportunity and not to be refused. Oh wel…
Now, Lady Deadlock… I have to confess that I would probably have some doubts in Esther’s place. The girls doesn’t know a thing about her past and a woman tells her she is her mother and there’s no doubts?!
